Berrien Co Convicted Murderer To Get New Trial
Valdosta, GA - A man convicted of murder will get a new trial.
The Georgia Supreme Court reversed the murder conviction of John Woods in Berrien County. They ruled that the Trial-Court failed to instruct jurors on the law of self-defense before their deliberations.
Woods testified he shot and killed Travis Sauls and disposed of the body in the fall of 2009 because he feared for his life.
