Tallahassee, FL - A bogus tax return scheme will send three Tallahassee residents to prison.
Kimberly Watson, Malcolm Lipscomb and Shvone Ricketts were found guilty of aggravated identity theft and conspiring to file false tax returns earlier this week.
The U.S. Attorney's office says the trio claimed more than $80,000 in refunds in three years.
Prosecutors say thr three would then have the money placed on pre-paid debit cards or deposited into their own bank accounts. A fourth person - Alfretta Jones - already pled guilty to conspiracy in the case.
