Boyfriend Turns Himself in for Murder of Girlfriend

On April 23, 2013 approximately 5:15 am Andrew David Johnson age 38 turned himself in for an open count of murder. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

On Sunday, April 21, 2013 at approximately 3:26am, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a call from 5753 Fort Rd. in Greenwood, Florida. The female victim stated she was being threatened by her boyfriend, Andrew Johnson. The Communications officer could hear a confrontation occurring between the caller and the suspect.

Deputies responded and found the victim lying inside the residence suffering from injuries which were apparently inflicted during the altercation. There were no other persons inside or outside of the residence when the officers arrived. The victim succumbed to her injuries shortly after the arrival by law enforcement.

On April 21, 2013 The Jackson County Sheriff's Office reported a physical disturbance at 5753 Fort Rd in Greenwood. The victim succumbed to her injuries shortly after Deputies arrived at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Krista Shante Stevenson, 25 years of age.
