FAMU Armed Robbery Reported on Campus

The last alert gave an all clear and said the suspects are now in custody.

Witnesses say robbers have the same basic description.

According to the Director of Media Relations for FAMU:

On 4/11/13/ at approximately 3:20 a.m., the FAMU Police Department was notified of an alleged robbery that occurred at Sampson Hall. The police responded and detained three black males, who are currently being questioned.

"At this point, we know that no one was injured; however, the investigation is still on-going," Pamela Tolson, Director of Media Relations, FAMU, said.


Tallahassee, FL - FAMU Police issued several text alerts early this morning about an armed robbery at Sampson Hall on campus.

The alerts advised students to stay inside and lock their doors.
The texts said the suspects are described as two black males, and that one displayed a hand gun.

The last alert gave an all clear and said the suspects are now in custody.
