NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Prosecutors say a Florida man has pleaded guilty to distributing child pornography.
The U.S. attorney's office in New Orleans says 27-year-old George Potter of Gulf Breeze pleaded guilty Wednesday and will be sentenced Feb. 26 by U.S. District Judge Martin L.C. Feldman.
He faces at least five years in prison, with a maximum penalty of 20 years, a $250,000 fine and life on supervised release.
Court documents show that Louisiana State Police began looking in March, 2012, for whoever had emailed a Lockport resident eight videos, ranging from 13 seconds to about nine minutes, of boys engaging in sex acts with other boys and with men.
Federal Homeland Security agents got federal search warrants for the sender's email accounts and then for Potter's home.
