UPDATE 1-9-2012 Noon

Antwann Dilworth is still at the Gadsden County Jail and is being held without bond, according to the jail website. He's facing 6 charges right now, four of which are felonies including aggravated battery.

Gretna police says Dilworth's mother was bleeding from the head when they found her at their home on Hill Lane last week. Police say his sister was also stabbed and has been released from the hospital. The most recent information we have about the mother is that she is still at the hospital.

Gretna PD says Dilworth has attacked the two women before. This time, Dilworth says it was because of a rumor he believed was being spread about him.

UPDATE 1-6-2012 11:54 p.m.

Antwaun Causey lives just around the corner from his cousin's home, a home that turned into a crime scene in just a matter of minutes.

He says, "Blood was everywhere. Her hair is almost blond, all I saw was red."

Gretna police say around 11:30 a.m. Friday, a young woman called 911, screaming that her brother attacked her and her mother.

Gretna Police Chief, Brian Bess says, "He was upset about rumors allegedly his sister was saying that Antwann heard, he came here to confront his sister and ended up stabbing his sister and mother.

Crime scene investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement were taking pictures of the blood splatter on the porch of the home at 122 Hill Lane, not too far from Gretna Elementary School.

When police arrived on scene they found the mother at the doorway on that porch, bleeding profusely from her head. She was in and out of consciousness.

Two hours later, police found Antwann Dilworth, not even a quarter mile from the home. He had run from the scene wearing only shorts and shoes. When police found him, they say he still had the screwdriver they say he used in the attack.

Chief Bess says there's a history of violence in the family, Dilworth has attacked them twice before. Bess says, "There's an injunction for the two victims, he's not allowed to come within five hundred feet of either of them or where they live."

Now instead of an injunction, police say Dilworth will be charged with attempted murder. He will also be charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon on his sister. Police have not yet released the names of the mother and daughter.

Again, at last check the mother is still in critical condition at a Tallahassee hospital. Police would not say which hospital, but family members say she is at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

UPDATE 1-6-2012 5:29pm

A 22 year old man is sitting in a Gadsden County jail cell tonight, accused of stabbing his.mother and sister with a screwdriver. This happened around 11:30 this morning in Gretna.

Police aren't releasing much information about the victims just yet,.but tell me the mother is in critical condition with injuries that include bleeding from the brain.

The daughter, who a family member tells me is 25, is now out of the hospital. She was treated for cuts up and down her arms.

Gretna police say 22 year old Antwann Dilworth stabbed the two with a screwdriver. He says he was angry because of rumors he says bus sister was spreading about him.

Now, this isn't the first time he's been in trouble, the police chief tells WCTV that Dilworth's mother and sister had to file an injunction because he had been violent with them before.

Again, the mother is in critical condition. Police will only say that she is recovering at a hospital in Tallahassee. A family member tells me she is at Tallahassee Memorial.

Tonight at 11, we'll hear more from a family member who lives just a few doors down from where this all happened.

He had no right and sister did not either. It does matter because he is in jail, the mom is in the hospital and the sister who was agitant to it all. Is scott free. I know it is the law, I still going to call her out for her part in it.The sister created the problem. She is not innocent and than after her mom got caught it the crossfire between her and her brother sibling war she called the police in hysterics crying victim and all the while she was the initiator who now sits back in delights in all the destruction she has caused to her brother not realizing the she played a part in her mom getting hurt. She is as much to blame as he is and she needs to stop before somebody ends up dead.

It dont matter what happened or who got mad. No one deserves this treatment. I know the mother in the case and she is a good person. I heard things about this Antwan dude and I know he is trouble. Although he was mad because his sister possibly spreading a rumor about him he didn't have to hurt her or his mother. Makes me wonder about all others he may come in contact with and hope he dont have a girlfriend because if he does his mom like that he will do anyone like that. Its a mess because moms spend more time trying to raise their kids right and some children dont respect that. Everyone need to pray for a better Gadsden County because it seems like it wont get any better over here.
