Local Liquor Store Robbed at Gunpoint

Tallahassee, FL - The Leon County Sheriff's Department says around 8pm Friday night (12-17), a black man about 6-foot-2-inches walked into the Lake Talquin Liquor Store on Blountstown Highway and demanded cash.

Deputies say after grabbing the money the suspect fled on foot , but LCSO believes he may have eventually left in an older model red Toyota.

Anyone with information is asked to call crime stoppers at 574-TIPS. (8477).

    Maybe if it's hit enough it will put them out of business and make our neighborhood a little safer. Half the drunk drivers on this side of Tally come out of that fine establishment.

    It should be legal for a store owner to back shoot anyone that robs them. As soon as they turn their back to walk out, just nail them right between the shoulder blades. This kind of stuff would stop pretty quickly.

    A liquor store employee/owner should have a gun and know how to use it. Enough of these losers stealing others' hard-earned money!

    Typical - they love to rob businesses around Christmas. It's good to live in Wakulla where there aren't so many.

    It's just a matter of time before high risk store owners and clerks start arming themselves. So,e already do but more will. Then the criminals will have two choices, go in with guns blazing or find another line of work. With guns blazing they still could die.

    it must be the same guy doing all the hold ups. there can't be that many bad black men in this fine city we live in.
