Valdosta, Georgia --

Three employees of a tire and rims rental shop in Valdosta are robbed at gunpoint.

Valdosta Police say the Rent-A-Wheel store on North Ashley Street and Northside Drive was held up by a masked gunman at about nine o'clock Monday morning. The store manager says the suspect came in through the back door with a steel revolver, ordered money be taken from the safe and that he and his employees lay face down on the ground.

Police say an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the store before the suspect fled through the front door.

Rent-A-Wheel manager Brian Norton says,"Before I approached the showroom, somebody put a gun to the back of my head. And he directed me to come inside and shouted 'where's the money? where's the money?' Took our credit manager out of his office, and brought us all into my office."
