Quincy Police Investigating Armed Robbery

Quincy, FL -- October 24, 2011 --

This past Friday night (October 21) at approximately 11:34pm, Quincy Police responded to 100 W. Jefferson Street in response to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, police discovered two armed gunmen had robbed the Hardee's restaurant manager and fled the scene.

The investigation revealed the robbers initially confronted a Hardee's employee taking garbage out a rear door. The suspects were armed with a handgun and a shotgun and forced the employee back into the business. Once inside, the robbers confronted the manager and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash. No shots were fired and no one was injured. Witnesses reported seeing two men running from the rear of the business in Northerly direction, possibly towards an older brown Chevrolet type vehicle. No arrests have been made at this time.
