At approximately 10:40 a.m. the Leon County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at the Envision Credit Union located at 3618 North Monroe Street. When deputies arrived, they learned a
man armed with a handgun entered the bank, approached the counter and demanded money from the employees. The man then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Witnesses described the man as wearing a red ball cap, a long sleeved dark colored shirt, blue jeans and white basketball shoes. The suspect covered his face with a gray bandana and was armed with a silver colored handgun.

Leon County deputies are on the hunt for the man who held up a credit union at gunpoint this morning.
It happened at the Envision Credit Union at 3618 North Monroe Street around 10:40 this morning.
Deputies say a white man, wearing a blue bandanna and dark ball cap walked into the bank with a gun in his hand and rushed the counter. Deputies say he held up the teller with a silver handgun and then ran out. Deputies say he ran behind the bank and headed northwest toward Old Bainbridge Road.
There were several customers in the bank at the time.
Canines searched the area and nearby businesses for the robber, but with no luck yet.
