The Leon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three Fairview Middle School students for bringing weapons on campus this week. On Monday, Lekandrick Mango, 14, was arrested after School Resource Deputies discovered he had a .22 caliber handgun and marijuana with him.
On Wednesday, School Resource Deputies arrested Malik Magwell, 14, after he was discovered to be in possession of a large knife and marijuana. Later the same day, Rahem Barron, 15, was arrested when he was found to be in possession of a spring loaded knife on campus. All three juveniles were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
School officials and resource deputies are maintaining heightened security awareness in the wake of recent events taking place in close proximity to the campus.
