Because of this, the information contained in these posts will be limited in nature as TPD’s top priority is for a timely resolution of the cases and to bring closure for those involved. This is also a “snapshot” of cases and should not be treated as a “complete list.”

Commercial Burglary / Subway 2401 Millcreek Ct. / 6:00 a.m.
Drive-thru window was broken and entry was made by unknown suspects. Various items were taken from the business. Forensics Unit responded. The store also has video evidence that will be impounded for further analysis. Victim: Subway

Residential Burglary / 959 Lone Feather Dr. / 10:48 a.m.
Units responded to alarm activation and found broken rear window, it appears entry was not made. A neighbor saw a young male get out of a car and go to the back of the house then run back to the car and leave, no additional information. Victim: White Female

Robbery / 415 E. Orange / 10:40 a.m.
Christopher Gavin attempted to make a purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill. The cashier realized it was counterfeit and told Mr. Gavin it was. Mr. Gavin got mad and started an argument. The cashier called the owner, Mr. Patel, who arrived and confirmed it was counterfeit. Mr. Gavin attempted to get behind the counter to get the bill, but was stopped by Mr. Patel. Mr. Gavin then pushed and hit Mr. Patel, but another employee wrestled him to the ground. The employee held Mr. Gavin on the ground until officers arrived. US Secret Service has been forwarded information on the counterfeit bill and will do the investigation.

Retail Theft – Publix / 3521 Thomasville Rd. / 2:45 pm
Officers responded to Publix regarding a suspect who stole some Mucinex and ran out of the store. A BOLO for the suspect was issued. Suspect was spotted by deputies and he ran away. While attempting to locate the suspect, the resident of 1382 Silver Moon Drive flagged down a deputy and reported suspect had broken into the garage. Suspect was located and stolen item was recovered. Show-up was conducted and suspect was positively identified as the theft suspect. Victim of the burglary declined to press charges.

Residential Burglary - 120 White Dr. / 6:14 pm
Victim left his apartment at 6:30 am and whe he returned at 5:45 pm discovered his apartment had been burglarized. No signs of forced entry were observed. *If you have any information about this case, please contact TPD at (850) 891-4200.

Residential Burglary - 2861 Botany Place / 2:00 pm
Victims advised they left their house secured with exterior doors locked and the bedroom doors closed. They returned to find bedroom doors had been opened. Victims located a rear window where suspect(s) gained entry into the house. Commercial Burglary / 411 N Magnolia Dr (Subway) / 3:45am
A delivery driver for the Democrat was doing their route and saw the smashed glass from the front door. The front door was busted in with an unknown blunt object. *If you have any information about this case, please contact TPD at (850) 891-4200.

DUI / Centerville Rd & Capital Circle NE / 2318 Hours
Officer Westbrook observed a vehicle driving between 10-12 miles per hour below the posted speed limit of 45MPH and swerving over the lane divider to the right into the center lane. Officer conducted a traffic stop and based on the driver’s apparent state he requested a DUI unit. Officers Jackson and Roy responded to the scene and conducted a DUI investigation, which revealed that driver to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DUI and transported to the Leon County Jail.

Charges: DUI

Robbery / S MLK Blvd & Palmetto St / 11:45pm
The victim called and reported that he was robbed at gunpoint by two black males last seen driving a black four door vehicle. A BOLO for the suspect and vehicle was provided over the radio. The vehicle was later located by LCSO in the area of Pricilla Lane where a traffic stop was initiated. The driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. After a short chase he was apprehended and placed under arrest. Some of the victim’s items were located in the vehicle as well as a firearm.
Victim: Black Male
Arrestee: Kenneth E. Lewis, B/M, 1/18/90
Charges: Robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm with altered serial number, resisting arresting, violation of probation.

Possession of controlled substance / Palace Saloon 1303 Jackson Bluff / 1:10 a.m.
Officer Harrison, Officer Turner and Officer Sullivan were conducting a drug investigation at the Palace Saloon. Officer Harrison observed a white male exit the Palace Saloon and enter a vehicle on the south end of the parking lot. After a short period of time Officer Harrison approached the driver side of the vehicle and observed the driver, later identified as Steven Fisher, hunched over the center console. Upon contact with the driver, a white powdery substance was observed crushed up on the center console. Fisher also had a rolled up ten dollar bill in his right hand. A search of the vehicle revealed 3 1/2 more Oxycodone pills and fisher was transported to Leon County Jail.
Arrestee: Steven Fisher W/M 08/10/1982
Charges: Possession of a controlled substance.

Agency Assist/House Fire / 414 Gaile Ave / 3:30 am
Officers responded to assist TFD with traffic control at a fully engulfed home at the above location. Home owner responded to the scene.
