The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating the theft of a full set of extrication equipment (Jaws of Life). TPD Investigators are concerned that the equipment may be used for criminal purposes, due to the fact it should be in working order.

Once the door was open, numerous pieces of equipment fell from the compartment. Another driver followed the truck until the firefighters stopped and told them what happened. The firefighters returned to the area, but were unable to locate the equipment. A total set of extrication equipment (Jaws of Life) was lost, valued at $13,000. All of the equipment was engraved “Truck 4 Unit 1508”.
