TPD Investigating Roberts Ave. Armed Robbery

News Release: The Tallahassee Police Department

Tallahassee, FL -- The Tallahassee Police Department is currently working an armed robbery which occurred at 2633 Roberts Avenue last night. Once the officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the store clerk, who stated two suspects wearing hoodies and armed with firearms came in and demanded the US Currency in the store.

After the robbery, the suspects ran from the building, firing one shot into the air. Just prior to the robbery, TPD patrol officers were called about a suspicious black, Ford Expedition parked near the business. It is believed this vehicle may be tied to the crime.

One suspect was described as wearing a neon yellow hoodie with a white mask around his face, black gloves and was armed with a handgun. The second suspect was described as wearing a white hoodie with a white mask, black gloves and was armed with a handgun.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division and the Forensic Unit responded to the robbery and processed the scene, collected evidence and are interviewing all witnesses. TPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects and are asking anyone with information about the case to call (850) 891-4200 or CrimeStoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
