Tallahassee, FL - September 20, 2012
The Tallahassee Police Department has partnered with the Leon County Responsible Decision Making Coalition to discourage underage drinking and reduce the potential misfortunes associated with underage drinking. The Tallahassee Police Department will be joining forces with the Tallahassee Fire Department, Florida State University Police Department, and Florida A&M Police Department to help inform our community on the dangers of consuming alcohol while under age. The focus of the group will be to improve awareness of the effects of underage drinking and gain compliance with local and state beverage laws.
Members from the involved agencies will use various methods to accomplish their goals, to include enforcement of underage drinking and inspections of licensed establishments. The results of underage drinking jeopardize bright futures and young lives. Because of these serious consequences local vendors will be included as part of the enforcement effort and held accountable if they choose to serve underage patrons.
