TPD Arrests 18 in April For Robberies

Tallahassee, Florida - May 3, 2011 -

Tallahassee Police Officers and Investigators have arrested 18 individuals during the month of April for charges related to 18 different robbery incidents. These arrests have resulted in over 43 criminal charges, as well as leads and information which will assist in the identification of additional criminals.

The incidents include street robberies, robberies at area businesses, home invasions, carjackings, and bank robberies. Many of these incidents involved the use of firearm.

All of those arrested are from Tallahassee, or have ties to our community. There are some charges still pending, with additional arrests expected.

Any community member with any information related to an unsolved robbery, or any other crime is asked to call TPD at 891-4200 or Big Bend Crime Stoppers at 574-TIPS. Please remember, Crime Stoppers does not want your name, just your information and you may be eligible for a reward.

    Tallahassee has become like a third world country. Crime, Corruption, high unemployement. I might just move to another country like Alabama.

    It just goes to show that somebody needs to do something about jobs out here. I dont believe thats the end of it its just the start to something bad so RICK SCOTT do what you need to do and give the people jobs!!!!!!!!!! and if you cant then get out the office and let someone else do a better job than what youre doing!!!!!!

      Wait. Haven't you read the stories and replies here regarding the folks that want to tax the dickens out of the folks who create jobs? Try and keep up. The majority obviously do not want the people capable of creating jobs to have the money to do so. Next . . it is NOT the government's role to create jobs. It is the government's job to facilitate private industries creating jobs. I have to wonder . . is this your first week in America after moving here from some communist country? You are exhibiting and absolute lack of understanding as to how a free market economy works.

      I wouldn't worry about pix. Chances are 99% of them look the same anyway.
