TPD Investigating Alachua Ave. Home Invasion Robbery

Tallahassee, Florida - August 3, 2011 -

Tallahassee Police officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Alachua Avenue last night at approximately 10:30 PM in reference to a home invasion robbery. The three residents reported three black males kicked in the door and demanded money. One of the suspects was armed with a dark colored handgun during the incident. The suspects fled from the residence with personal property belonging to the victims. No one was injured during this incident.

Investigators are reviewing indicators of drug activity related to this incident. The suspects were described as black males, approximately 20-30 years of age, two were approximately 6’0 tall wearing black clothing. The third suspect was described as approximately 5’9 or shorter and was wearing a white shirt.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the Tallahassee Police Department at 891-4200 or Big Bend Crime Stoppers at 574-TIPS. Crime Stoppers does not want your name, just your information. You could be eligible for a cash reward. Please remember, if you see something, say something, do something.

    I think you missed the point. The PS3 is one of the many objects someone would want to steal, not the gun I'd use..? I think that's what you were implying? My beretta is the object with which I will defend it.

    I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy to carry around with me all day. I carry a gun because it takes minutes for the cops to arrive and you can be dead in seconds.

    They had our house surrounded while they checked the railroad tracks and our yard...my husband was outside and the cops yelled and told him they were making sure mo one had entered our home or was hiding in our yard!!! Great day I have a two year old and mow I am freaked out!! Turning my doors so the can never get kicked in... Thank you TPD for doing such a thorough search last night...hope I catch the fools!!

    Most home invasions are drug and drug money rip-offs, and the victims are usually not just chosen at random. I doubt this one is any different. For more thugness go to www.thugreport.com.

    anon i agree 100%, is it worth getting shot plus they act "hard" on the streets but once they hit prison sosmetime soon they will be somebody's girlfriend. is it worth it? i don't think so.
