There were two carjackings in Tallahassee just hours apart and in both cases, the drivers were confronted at gunpoint.

The first carjacking happened in the parking lot of Michaels on Governor's Square Boulevard at about 5 o'clock Tuesday evening.

Tallahassee Police say three men approached a woman reading in her car and ordered her out at gunpoint.

The second carjacking happened outside the AMC Theatre at Tallahassee Mall just after 10 p.m.

A man says two men approached him with a gun, punched him and took his car.

Shoppers outside Michael's were surprised to hear that a woman was carjacked in broad daylight.

I'm always worried about going out places at night, but at 5 o'clock in the afternoon? That's kind of ... particularly scary to me," Angela Perry said as she and her two children got into their minivan.

"I mean it's happening over and over all around, but up here in this area, I'm surprised. It would be more likely to happen at the mall to me than a place like this," Gail Howes said as she and grandson left the store.

Tallahassee Police believe the carjackings are related because the stolen cars were later found parked side by side at 2502 Holton Street.

23 year old Immanuel Boone was arrested and accused of robbery, carjacking and more. Right now, he's charged only with the carjacking near Michael's.

Boone told police he and a friend used the car to "move" some drugs.
