Crawfordville, Florida --

Three Crawfordville men face narcotics charges following a Crawfordville traffic stop by a road patrol unit at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, according to WCSO.

Richard Dylan Fruggiero, 18, was charged with possession of a Schedule IV narcotic and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana. Kenneth Dewayne Washington, 21, was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Evan Dale Waters, 21, was charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule IV narcotic. A 17-year-old Woodville female in the vehicle was released to a guardian.

Deputy Ian Richards was southbound on U.S. Highway 319 just north of Crawfordville when he observed a vehicle with only one headlight illuminated. He conducted a traffic stop and contacted Sgt. Ronald Mitchell and K-9 Gunny to investigate the scene. Gunny alerted law enforcement officers that narcotics were present in the vehicle.

The vehicle search turned up small amounts of marijuana throughout the vehicle as well as a marijuana pipe with heavy residue, digital scale, plastic bags and Xanex pills.

The driver, Waters, was also issued a traffic citation for faulty equipment and Washington was issued a traffic citation for an open container of beer. Lt. Danny Harrell also investigated.
