Two Arrested In Lowndes County For Marijuana Possession

On Wednesday evening, investigators from the Special Operations Division of the Sheriff’s Office conducted surveillance at 1725 Gornto Road, Valdosta and observed the sale of marijuana.

The investigators contacted the occupant of the room and obtained a search warrant. A search of the room resulted in the recovery of approximately 143 grams of marijuana valued at approximately $1,600, scales and packaging materials for the marijuana.

Stacy Blackwell, 20, and Quinton Hall, 18, were arrested and transported to the Lowndes County Jail and booked on the listed charges. Stacy Blackwell was charged with an additional charge of providing a false name because he initially lied about who he was.

They will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court this afternoon for an arraignment hearing where a bond will be considered.
