A man wanted for selling cocaine is arrested after a roughly four hour stand off with police.

Some neighbors were evacuated and a nearby school was on lockdown before it ended.

23 year old Vanderick Williams was in tears as he was taken to jail in the back of a police car.

Kay Fuller was watching her 9 week old grandson Tyler when police officers knocked on her door at about 8 Friday morning.

Williams was hiding out in this trailer right on top of Fuller's backyard.

Police told her if he decided to open fire bullets could penetrate her home.

"So they said we'd prefer that you leave and I said no problem, I'm outta here," said Fuller.

The trailer is right behind Kingdom Life Preparatory School.

The school was on lockdown during the stand off.

Because police were concerned Williams may have been armed, they were especially careful.

They used an armored vehicle called a bearcat to get close to the home and stay safe.

"Our last resort is to have to go in and get them, something we do not want to do," said Tallahassee Police spokesman Dave Northway.

But after using a megaphone multiple times to try to get Williams to come out and after roughly four hours, police broke windows and ripped open the door.

They captured Williams without incident.

Maryanne Shaw watched it all from her home across the sttreet.

She said she's seen a lot cars coming and going from the trailer.

"We had suspected, but we're not going to knock on any doors or anything, but definitely we were not surprised," said Shaw.

"I grew up here and it's always been a really nice quiet neighborhood until recently," said Fuller.

Reporter: "Tyler has had a very eventful day."
Fuller: "He's had an eventful morning."
Reporter: "So I assume this is his first police standoff?"
Fuller: "Oh yes," she said and chuckled.

Williams was wanted on two felony cocaine warrants.

He was taken to the Leon County Jail.
