JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says one teenage girl is dead and another injured after an apparent drive-by shooting.
Sgt. Jay Farhat tells The Florida Times-Union multiple shots were fired into a trailer around 4:45 a.m. Saturday.
A 13-year-old girl was hit and killed. A 14-year-old girl was taken to UF Health Jacksonville. Farhat said she is not expected to survive.
According to investigators, three adults were in the trailer and are all being questions.
A witness reported seeing lights from a car before the shooting, but deputies aren't entirely certain the shots came from a vehicle. They also don't know if there were one or multiple shooters.
