A Greensboro baby is clinging to life after an accident with hot coffee.

Gadsden County first responders say the one-year old boy who lives on the 6-thousand block of Flat Creek Road was life-flighted to T-M-H then to Shands this morning 3/14 for first and second degree burns.

Deputies say the boy reached for a pot of hot coffee and spilled it on himself. First responders say close to 60-percent of his body is burned. Officials say he is in serious condition.

Investigators tell us no charges will be filed because they have no reason to suspect neglect and it was simply an accident.

To Ellis many survive trauma, very few survive it without faith. Your psychological attack on the mother is deliberate attempt to destroy the faith surronding that child. You, not the mother are the one trying to hurt that child. Anon 11:03 is you are sick of it, nobody is making you participate.

All these posts defending the mother sounds like a bunch of teenage girls wanting to fight. Time to grow up people and start acting like responsible adults,(if that is possible at all). I have been praying for this baby from the beginning of his ordeal and it will be a long one for him. Maybe his mother will have a lot of time to reflect on what has happened and make her peace with God.

To: Own your own faults on Mar 17, 2011 at 08:00 PM If that baby dies, you are part to blame. NO, the people who post here are not to be blamed, I think it would be whoever ALLOWED THIS "ACCIDENT" TO HAPPEN. And these words aren't hurting the baby, his mother already did that for us.

To Anonymous March 17 5:46 Your words have power. You are not helping that baby in his recovery you are hurting him. That is not an accident. It's deliberate.

To Anonymous on Mar 17, 2011 at 09:56 AM, if it is that damming for the baby that the caregiver is that emotionally destroyed by their conscience, it's because they are guilty or feeling guilty and not because of what someone has posted. They should feel guilty and these posts are not destroying the mother, father or anyone else. This is an ACCIDENT THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AT ALL AND I HOPE SHE LIVES THIS NIGHTMARE OVER AND OVER. MAYBE SHE WILL LEARN TO BE A BETTER MOTHER.

Ellis, Who do you think is comforting that baby and making decision for him right now? How important is that comforting? How important are those decisions. How inportant for that baby well being do you think it is, for his care giver to be strong during this time? How damming for that baby's well being do you think it is for his care giver to be emotionally destroyed during this time.

I pray this little one recovers and never remembers any of it and I pray that his mother lives this nightmare over and over again in her dreams.
