Eyewitness News --

Sixty one thousand six hundred and forty seven fans. That's the number of fans that attended yesterday's 9/25 game.

The attendance hasn't been this low at a Florida State home game since 1992.

One student says maybe it's the weather. The high's for the past three games were 94, 93, and 94 degrees.

"It is really hot out. So maybe when it cools down they'll get a little more attendance," says Mark Dobies.

Even Jimbo Fisher took a few glances into the stands. He was quoted post game saying "I know these are tough times, economically, but we'll continue to play hard whether there's 83,000 fans or one."

And one of the fans we spoke to felt Saturdays win should be the remedy.

" I think after this win with Wake Forrest that attendance will go back up and people will want to come out and see us," says Keith McClellan.

Die hard fans say rain or shine, Seminole fans should stick by their team regardless.

"It's Tallahassee, it's the FSU Nation... They should definitely come out and see the team that's here," says Alana Easholm.

And with the three and one record the team thats out there has the potential for great things this year.

We continue to buy our season tickets and go to all games, but the pricing for season tickets has gotten out of hand. When the crappy games only command $10 from scalpers, why are we forced to pay $50 each to see Sanford? Then the price of concessions is ridiculous. The active policing of bringing in water is outrageous. Why are you stopping people from bringing in water when the game is at noon and 100F out? Forcing people to spend $3 for a $0.25 bottle of water. Someone needs to be fired and a new financial department needs to be formed.

Yep, several factors may attrubute to lower attendance. High ticket and concession prices, parking isn't good, how politics who wants who as head coach. Look at prices at other schools. Maybe it is to cover Jimbos salary. Howabout some advise, lower the prices, a public parking lot by the stadium like Gaines Street stretch. Knock some of the vacant warehouses down and use as a parking lot. May be able to beautify the stretch.

Go NOLES!!! Keep up the good work. You will come around, I'M sure. I too would love to go to see ya play. Yecks I had no idea tickets where THAT MUCH. I just knew I COULDN'T THINK ABOUT IT. Remember when ya play that are LOTS OF PEOPLE out there that are really cheering you on, just not in the stands. SORRY, It's not your foult. We will yell and scream our loungs out in front of the TV or the radio. Some of us can't afford cable. Mike, you are so right. There is to much negative remarks. They come from what my grandfather called, fair weather fans. AND I still am a Tenn. fan. it can cause a tight spot. Still I believe in BOTH TEAMS.

Bandwagon fans. The entire nation knows it except for the residents of Tallahassee.

I purchased season tickets (2 sets) for 10 years, but two years ago with 8 home games, you priced me right out of the ball park! I had to give up my season tickets. Prices are just too high when the concessions make a vast amount of profit at each game. Lower prices and see attendance rise--Until you do, many of us will just pay $5.00 a month for ESPNU and watch at home!!!!

Unemployment: (reported @ around 10%) Given up on seeking employment: (around 10-15%) 20% of 80,000 = 16,000 Does any of the above make sense? People cannot afford to go to the games. I took my grandson to the BYU game and it cost: $7.00 to park, $5.00 to ride the bus, $100.00 for the tickets, and around $25.00 for concessions, due to the heat. To those of you who do not live on a fixed income like many of us do, that amount of money may not be much to you, but to me it's the pits not to be able to see my Noles in person! Note: I couldn't afford the monthly installments for the price of the tickets that FSU was so gracious to extend! Do you still wonder why the stands look empty? Good luck Noles - I'll be pulling for you from my recliner!

Why don't you quit playing high school teams? Anybody catching the Auburn games lately? That's college football at it's best. Why doesn't the FSU ticket office discount unsold tickets the day before the game to try and fill the stadium? A discounted ticket is better than an unsold ticket and an empty seat.

I went to the first game with my daughter. I was given the tickets free, I noticed face value was $50!!! Who can afford to take a family of 4 to a game??? We spent over $30 on large drink, nachos, and a $10 bowl of ice cream daughter wanted, that means if a family of 4 went it would be close to $260, that's not even counting a stop to the university store!... I'll do my part to support the team, but unless given free tickets, I'll watch/listen from the house....
