Fort Myers Police say they arrested 53-year-old Kimberly Alters
on Sunday, Sept. 26. Alters was arrested after meeting with a person who turned out to be a confidential informant. Authorities say Alters
gave the informant a photo of her husband and $125 to buy a
firearm, then said she wanted the hit done while she and her
children were visiting a theme park.
Alters was charged with solicitation to commit murder,
possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and two
counts of possession of a controlled substance.
She remains in Lee County Jail without bond. It is unclear
whether she has retained an attorney.
