Davie, FL (AP) - A South Florida man accused of fatally
shooting a 9-year-old Davie girl who was riding inside a minivan has turned himself in to Tampa police.
Davie police say 41-year-old Jody Gordon turned himself in Monday afternoon. Authorities say Gordon opened fire on two women and four children as they tried to flee Stirling Apartments on Sunday.
A bullet hit the girl in the head. She was taken to a Hollywood hospital, where she died.
Gordon had reportedly lived with the girl's mother at the
apartment complex until a few days ago. Police believe the shooting was related to a domestic dispute.
