Tallahassee, FL - A total of 30 Hartsfield Elementary school students received a brand new bike today. 15 Boys and 15 girls won a new bike and helmet all for their academics achievements. The students have had the chance to earn daily tickets for their success in Success Maker since October. Two students from grades kindergarten through second grade were selected. Academy Sports and Outdoors donated the bikes and helmets. For them it was a way to motivate the children in the classroom. "Teachers has such a vital role more and more now a days with our kids you that the little things that we can do as a company really helps out, really motivates the school to do better to get these kids a little more motivated and a little better education for them," said Steve Weiland, Academy Sports Store Director

The bike giveaway is a statewide event for Academy Sports and Outdoors. They said they are hopeful to continue the bike giveaway next year at another elementary school in Leon County.
