Madison County, Florida - June 18, 2012 -

A 5-year-old child is in critical condition after a crash in Madison County, Florida. The accident happened around 9:05am on June 18th on Dale Lesley Road in Madison County. According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, Eirika Elizabeth Perez-Sanchez, 33, was heading west on Dale Lesley Road in a 2003 Toyota Matrix when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle overturned on the north shoulder, coming to rest on its top. Hecter Vandoza, 5, was a passenger in the vehicle.

FHP reported to the scene.

Perez-Sanchez was wearing a seat belt, but Vandoza was not. Perez-Sanchez is listed as being in serious condition at Tallahassee Memorial, while Vandoza was transported to Shands and is in critical condition.

Charges filed against Perez-Sanchez include Failing to Drive in a Single Lane, No Drivers License, and No Child Restraint.
