BOKEELIA, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating after they say someone stole 500 pounds of lychee fruit from a southwest Florida grove.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says the victim last checked on her fruit grove on Friday.
The News-Press (http://www.ittybittyurl.com/2a0E ) reports she thinks the suspect broke into the locked grove through a hole in the fence.
She estimated about 8,000 pieces of fruit were taken, which she says costs about $3,000.
