Adopt a Military Unit and Say You Care

The Tallahassee Tennis Challenger is the first tournament taking up the Adopt a Unit initiative.

Attendees , participants and anyone in the community are asked to donate items frequently requested by deployed troops.

Each organization will send care packages to 25-100 service members who are deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan.

You can help by bringing any of these items to the Forestmeadows Tennis Complex by April 16.

It's located at 4750 North Meridian Road.

4 oz. Hand sanitizers
Pairs of athletic socks (tube or crew)
Foot powder (personal size)
Disposable razors (3 per soldier)
Personal or Baby Wipes (personal size)
Bags of candy (Jolly Ranchers, Twizzlers, etc. NO CHOCOLATE)
100 Letters of support (Elementary and Middle Schools are great! Leave unsealed for content screening)
Sunscreen (4 oz. or less)
Easy Mac
100+ Lipbalm
Toothpaste (travel size) (Some dentists will donate these)
$10 per team member for postage
$10 per team member for postage

Additional items may include: Travel size shampoo, soap, shaving cream and toothbrushes.
