The kids won't be home alone. Most of the kids are in the program because their parents are working. Now, instead of picking them up after work (possibly after the storms) they have to leave work early (creating more traffic now) and pick them up now (at the last minute). This was a real smart decision! **sarcasm**

Maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be safer for these kids to be at the school than home alone? I would think at least half of these parents will have to pick up their child and go back to work. Yes, loading students in a storm is not the ideal situation, but I still don't see that this solves any problem.
