Some local businesses are donating roughly $20,000 in materials and labor for a good cause.
A new pavillion is being built at the Greg McCray Boys and Girls Club on Tallahassee's south side.
Friday afternoon, a ground breaking was held for the pavillion.
Some young people will be participating in the construction project to help learn a trade.
The Home Builders Institute and members of the Tallahassee Builders Association are participating in the project.
They include Chief Cornerstone Construction Company.
"We are very happy to be a part of building the pavillion for you guys and hope you will enjoy in the future to come," said David Thomas of Chief Cornerstone Construction.
The pavillion will be used for various outdoor activities and protect children from the elements.
More than 200 boys and girls use the club each day.
The pavillion is expected to be completed in a few weeks.
