Tallahassee FL- As today's tax free weekend comes to a close in Florida, certain businesses are celebrating successful sales.
New items were added to this years sales tax free weekend. Aside from the essentials like clothing, pens paper. Tablets, laptops and desktop computers were also tax free. Businesses like Best Buy say they saw a flood of customers this year as people ran to grab their technology tax free.
Tallahassee Best Buy Manager, Stephen Lowery explained, "We are really hoping that they do this for the state of Florida going forward it was a great revenue driver great traffic driver for us this weekend. All in all, it was very good."
Lowery says this was one of the busiest sales tax holidays they have seen. He also said that while Friday was busy, Saturday was their busiest day.
