Golfers took to the links at Golden Eagle today and hoped they'd have the luck of the Irish with them.

80 golfers teed up to help raise money for the Christmas Connection. This tourney is typically held right before the holidays but this year, it was moved to the week of St. Patrick's Day to take advantage of the beautiful spring weather.

Golfers happily raised a little green on the greens, to help hundreds of needy families have a better holiday.

Tico Gimbel, the Vice-Chair of the Golf Tournament was having a great time on the course. He dressed to the nines with his green knickers and argyle socks. He said, "We can take a day like this, have some fun, think of those who are less advantaged, and do our little part to help."

The big winner Monday is a team from Childers Construction who shot a low net of 53, but all the golfers were treated to a traditional Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage after their round.
