Tallahassee, FL-Children across Tallahassee got a chance to hunt down some Easter Eggs Saturday.

Dozens of children showed up for the Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church Easter Egg Hunt. The church holds the event every year.

Organizers say the event is a good way to teach children the story of Easter and show them the importance of going to church.

"Easter is very important to the Christian religion. We try to make them know that it's okay to come on Saturday and come back on Sunday," said Merideth Middleton, who helped organize the event.

In addition to the egg hunt, there was also face painting, a bounce house and other games for the children.
