ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating what
caused several people to become sick during services at a St.
Seven parishioners at St. John Vianney Catholic Church reported
feeling dizzy, nauseous and fatigued; four of them were
St. Pete Beach fire chief Dan Graves says emergency crews found
clear liquid under a pew in the second row. A hazmat team took
samples of the substance to check whether it was the culprit.
About 2,000 church-goers were evacuated from the building. The
Palm Sunday Mass continued at the church's Parish Hall.
