Tallahassee, Florida - April 8, 2011 -
It’s getting close to Easter and yet again time for the City’s Annual
Easter Egg Hunt at Myers Park on Sunday April 24th! This event is a long-standing tradition in Tallahassee. Children 10 and under have enjoyed this Easter Egg Hunt for over 52 years! The children are armed with their Easter baskets looking for all of the hard-boiled eggs and colorful prize-filled eggs like their parents did when they were kids. Staff lay out and hide over 10,000 eggs both real and plastic. Not only do some of the eggs hold prizes, but they also hold tickets for BIGGER prizes, which are redeemed at the conclusion of the hunt. There is continuous music as well as children’s activities to entertain the audience before and after the hunt. The Easter Bunny will arrive via Police escort and will be available for pictures, autographs and hugs! The 2010 event saw over 3,500 in attendance and over 600 prizes were given away!
