Coast Guard Cracking Down on Drunk Boaters

MIAMI (AP) -- Florida boaters, you've been warned. The Coast
Guard is out in force this weekend, administering sobriety tests.

The effort is part of a national crackdown called Operation Dry
Water. It aims to curb incidents of boating under the influence
and, as a result, the number of alcohol-related accident and
deaths.

Boat operators whose blood alcohol level is more than the legal
limit of 0.08 percent can face fines, jail and loss of boating
privileges.
