Tallahassee, Florida --

The main room at Parks and Crump law firm was packed with people excited to hear Danny Glover speak.

Although Glover is best known for his acting, he was in town Saturday, Oct. 9, to give a wealth empowerment seminar, and he hopes his message will inspire others.

He says, "In listening to my story in listening to my engagement and involvement in this the people will organize in their own thoughts and their own imagination their own stories."

Glover and Mayor Marks exchanged laughs at the event and spoke about involvement in the community.

It seems like there are too many people on this thread with nothing constructive to contribute. These kinds of people only have the desire to be heard orpaid attention to, probably because no one else is listening to them locally. Perhaps, the best way to combat ignorance is to ignore them altogether. That way you would n't have to waste energy on very boring (and overplayed) topics like racism. I AM interested in know just what Danny Glover is promoting...the video wasn't very informative and I would like to know if it souds on the level.

All that glitters is not gold, I don't give a flip what color it's gleaming in. Period.

juswondern your statement is nothing but ignorant racism. If you truly believe that only one group of people ask for handouts, you need to head back to the woods to your trailer.

The only comments on here that appeared racist to me were the comments supporting Glover by calling those who do not support him racist. A form of racism is the shouting of "racism" everytime someone dislikes the actions of a person of minority. Are African-Americans that dislike Glover or Obama racist toward themselves? If a tree falls in a forest, are you an idiot?

Heart pumps blood. Why would we want a fictious book character inside of our heart muscle?

Yes thats right, call us racist because one group of people continue to be handed free stuff left and right. Its not racism, is realism

Reading the comments on this page makes me sick. People are so racist and need Jesus to change their hearts. So much evil on here. Be careful because what so ever a man soweth that much he also reap.
