Press Release from Wakulla County Sheriff's Office:

The decomposing carcasses of four dogs were located at a remote location off Shadowmoon Court in the Ochlockonee Bay community by a family who were using four wheelers in the area Monday, June 6 at 6 p.m., according to Wakulla County Sheriff David Harvey.

The remains of four dogs were discovered by Lt. C.L. Morrison and Animal Control Officer Bob Crane as they investigated. The initial cause of death was determined to be blows to the head. It appears that the dogs were dumped at the scene which is near the Wakulla County Airport and the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge property. The investigation continues.

Really, some of the people who commit on this site should be committed because your thoughts are very disturbed. Secondly, it starts with torturing and killing animals. Wait until we have the next Jeffrey Dahmer on our hands and then maybe you will be a little more concerned.

Umm, we are talking about dogs, right? Not people? Investigation into animal homicide (oxymoron). Take the report and a couple of pictuires then get about the business of "law enforcement" and not dead dog recovery.

I hope the guilty party(ies) come to my street and take my neighbors dog. This dog barks all night long every night, then sleeps while I am work.

Blame your neighbors for allowing it, not the dog who probably only wants to be inside with everyone like pets should be at night.

The above exchange seems to highlight a liberal vs conservative take on life -- just guessing, but I personally doubt Bollilo cares about the blame game -- he just wants the dog to shut up. OTOH, Doglover wants to take the dog's motives and life history into consideration, and apparently feels Bollilo's need for peace and quiet are secondary or even irrelevant...

That's not true at all, Surly. I have a neighbor myself with 4 or 5 yappy dogs at one house that never seem to stop barking. I hate it also but it's up to the owners to put a stop it. I can't sit here and blame the dogs. The neighbors are just inconsiderate people to continue to allow it to disrupt the entire neighborhood. Personally, I don't understand how they can stand it themselves. They must just tune it out or something. Still, not the dogs' fault. The owners are 100% to blame in my opinion.

What a lot of goody-goody bigots we have on here today! Pana-sewer? What a cute-a**ed comment. Moron. Ever live here? So I get it that some of you creeps care for dogs than for economically distressed people? There are too many dogs, guys, and not enough homes. The excess have to be killed. Better for them to be bludgeoned than starved, or would you rather the latter? Not everyone can ride to the county shelter just to dump off excess dogs. That's a LONG way. Cartridges cost money, why waste them on a non-edible animal? I can tell you if these dogs were dogs who got into my chickens, I'd do the same as this guy--but now! You can call animal services if you want and wait until every living chicken you have is dead before they show up. Get over your dogophilia people. Dogs aren't worth making enemies of humans over. This is not that "horrible" of an act anyway. The dogs were killed in a more humane way than that beef, pork, or chicken you ate for supper last night. Think about that, goody-goody hypocrites.

Better for them to be bludgeoned? Too far a drive to bring to a rescue shelter? Waste a cartridge on a non-edible animal? Beating a live dog's head in is humane? Is your post for real or are you just trying to get a rise out of people?

Probably both, in all honesty. What I hate that nobody talks about is gardeners -- just no class at all. They deliberately plant seed to grow helpless plants so they can EAT them just as they mature. And then they BRAG about it, and take pictures, and have fairs and stuff. They shouldn't even be allowed outdoors. There's tons of food in the store, no need to be so cruel.

I do not condone animal abuse but....You people who value an animal's life over a human's are sick. You want to kill the person that did this? If you are so worried about this then you can come watch it happen every day in Gadsden County. There are 3 dead dogs on my road right now. Maybe you could try to help these animals instead of killing a human.

Are they really going to put any effort into finding the heathen who did this? I doubt it.

We can only hope that someone with half a heart will notice that someone they know suddenly has 4 less dogs.

I remember going down Adams one night behing a truck that had 2 dogs in the bed of the truck. The driver had to hit the brakes and when he did one dog was fliped over on the driver side,he was on a rope or chain don't remember which. The dog was hit by a car coming up on that side. The other dog was thrown down from the tool box, he had alot of broken bones. It is not smart to put dogs there.
