Tallahassee, FL - A water salute greeted Delta flight 645 to honor 30 years of service Delta Air Lines has provided to Tallahassee Regional Airport. Delta Air Lines began serving Tallahassee in 1983. Today Delta connects Tallahassee to 328 destinations in 64 countries on six continents which allows Florida's capital to compete in the global economy. "It's been a boom to this community in both passenger service and freight service and those and all kinds of airline service. We have a great airport, but it would not be a great airport if we didn't have great airlines and Delta air Lines fits that model very very well," City Mayor John Marks.
Delta Air Lines is one of four major commercial carriers serving the Tallahassee market. In fiscal year 2013, TLH served over 697,000 total commercial passengers. This number represents a five percent increase over fiscal year 2012. Delta Air Lines comprised more than 54 percent of these passenger totals.
