Tallahassee, Florida - November 10, 2011 -

Desoto Trail Elementary School held its first Veterans’ Day Celebration yesterday. The school honored active and retired military with a reception and school wide parade where the students and families lined the “parade route”. The honorees were escorted by the student who an invited them to participate. DTES put this event together in less than 2 weeks and honored 43 soldiers spanning back to WWII and including 4 Purple Heart Recipients.
