Driver Loses Control of Car, Listed in Serious Condition

Tallahassee, Florida - November 18, 2012

A driver is in serious condition after losing control of his car Friday at 1:50pm in Suwanee County.

The Florida Highway Patrol says a 1999 ford explorer driven by Peton Cole Marshall, 20, was driving east on I-10 in the inside lane.

FHP says for unknown reasons the car drove off the roadway onto the inside shoulder.

The release says Marshall turned to the right over correcting and lost control of his car. The car then began to rotate clockwise and overturned.

According to FHP, the ford explorer came to final rest upright across both eastbound lanes facing southwest.

FHP says Marshall was treated at the scene by Suwannee County EMS. Marshall was then airlifted by trauma one to Shands UF Gainseville Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was listed in serious condition.

FHP says alcohol was not in his system. Marshall was wearing a seatbelt.
