FHP: Woman Now in Fair Condition After Traffic Crash

Tallahassee, Florida - June 4, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. -

33-year-old Renee Clark was driving along 229 Upper Cody Road going west. The incident report shows she was traveling at an unsafe speed.

She crossed over a wooden bridge and lost control of her 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. Her car began to spin clockwise until she hit two trees.

The incident happened around 10:38 p.m. Sunday.

FHP says she was taken to TMH in critical condition. As of Monday, she is listed in fair condition.

Troopers say it was an alcohol related incident.


Tallahassee, Florida - June 4, 2012 -

The Florida Highway Patrol reports a possible traffic fatality in Jefferson County. The accident happened around 10:38pm on June 3rd near 229 Upper Cody Road.

Renee Clark, 33, of Monticello, Florida, was traveling westbound on Upper Cody Road at an unsafe speed in her 2004 Trailblazer, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol. Clark crossed over a wooden bridge and began to lose control her vehicle. The vehicle traveled to the southern edge of the roadway and began to rotate clockwise, then began to travel in a northwesterly direction and exited the roadway on the north shoulder. The front of Clark's vehicle collided with a tree and rotated clockwise striking a second tree with its left side. The vehicle came to final rest facing in a northwesterly direction.

The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Jefferson County Fire Rescue and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

Renee Clark is listed in critical condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The FHP report states that alcohol was a factor in the accident.
