Tallahassee, FL - The Trustee Nominating Committee of the Florida Board of Governors is seeking candidates for appointment to four state university Boards of Trustees.
Each one of the 11 state universities has a 13-member Board of Trustees responsible for cost-effective policy, and for implementing and maintaining high-quality education programs consistent with the university’s mission. The Boards of Trustees also develop processes to meet state policy, budgeting and education standards.
Individuals interested in serving on one of the following Board of Trustees must complete the specific Florida Board of Governors application form available through the home page at www.flbog.edu: Florida International University in Miami, University of Central Florida in Orlando, University of Florida in Gainesville and the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
“The Board of Governors is looking for individuals to serve as university trustees who are interested in higher education and interested in taking our universities to a level of excellence that helps both the universities and the State University System achieve their goals,” said Morteza “Mori” Hosseini, Chair of the Trustee Nominating Committee.
The specific web site link for detailed information about how to apply is available here: http://www.flbog.edu/aboutsus/vacancies.php.
