DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) --
A central Florida grandmother accused of trying to sell her grandson for $30,000 is free on bail.
Authorities say 45-year-old Patty Bigbee left the Volusia County
Branch Jail Sunday after her $100,000 bail was posted.
Bigbee was arrested in November when she handed the 2-month-old
over to a Tampa area couple in a Volusia County shopping center
It was unclear who posted bail for Bigbee.
Jail officials say Bigbee's boyfriend, 42-year-old Lawrence
Works, remains in jail with no bail allowed. Works is charged with
being a principal to the sale of a child.
The child's 21-year-old mother is in state prison on unrelated
fraud charges, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.
The baby is in state custody.
