TALLAHASSEE – Joining the tech-savvy ranks, the Florida Public Service Commission’s (PSC) web based electronic filing is available today. Parties can now file in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) via the PSC’s new e-filing portal.
“Technology has streamlined the PSC’s work and is an essential tool for our Clerk’s Office in meeting the Commission’s obligation to serve the public efficiently and effectively,” said PSC Chairman Ronald A. Brisé. “Similar to Florida’s judicial courts, our e-filing portal is convenient for filing and for prompt document availability.”
The e-filing portal is available on the PSC’s website, www.floridapsc.com. The filing party should go to the website, select the Clerk’s Office tab, and then select Web Based Electronic Filing. Once there, instructions are easy to follow: fill in the blanks, attach the PDF document to be filed, and click SUBMIT to e-file the document. E-filers will receive immediate email notification confirming the document’s acceptance by the PSC Clerk’s Office.
The PSC’s move to web based electronic filing won’t completely eliminate the options of filing paper copies through regular mail and/or hand-delivery, but it will reduce paper, postage, and delivery costs for those using it.
