Florida Governor Scott Has Yet to Sign a Death Warrant

Tallahassee, FL (AP) - Governor Rick Scott still hasn't acted on
what past governors have said is one of their most serious
responsibilities -- signing death warrants.

Scott is approaching his sixth month in office and has not taken
the first formal step in carrying out an execution. A spokesman
said he is prepared to fulfill that responsibility.

Florida has 399 inmates on death row. The last execution was in
February, 2010, when Martin Edward Grossman was put to death for
murdering a state wildlife officer.

There was a moratorium on executions when then-Gov. Charlie
Crist took office in 2007, but he signed his first death warrant as
soon as it was lifted seven months later. In all, there were five
executions under Crist and 21 under former Gov. Jeb Bush.

Who says Scott hasn't signed any death warrants. every bill he has signed or implemented so far is a death warrant for everyone living in the "Great state of Florida".

Why not kill innocent Paul W. Scott, thriving on FL Death Row after 30 years? The real killer, Rick Kondian, fully confessed and was paroled in 1993.

these state workersare getting more and more violent with every post.for our protection the cops need to go to their homes and seize their weapons before they hurt someone.

He gleefully expels people from the workforce, but lacks the fortitude to pull the trigger on convicted felons? A man he is not. Must be trying to stack the deck a bit for those private prisons he wants.

True. He wants to see which way 'the wind blows' since Jose the judge, ruled against that death warrant. He is already looking for another four years! No stones! He won't sign one 'cause he wants another four years to destroy this state. Word!
