A staple at Florida A and M is ending one chapter of his life on the hill to begin another in south Florida.

Dr. Henry Lewis has served as a professor and dean of the school of Pharmacy for the past 15 years... and has been selected as the president of Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens.

Students describe him as a go getter who has lined up future opportunities for the program and expanded it beyond the original school.

"It's a congratulations to him in a sense because he's already accomplished so much in his career so this is just taking it to another level so he'll be able to expand himself as a dean or as an individual," says pharmacy student Laura Bradshaw.

Florida Memorial University is the only historically Black institution in south Florida.
