36 year old Monday Demarsh is now under arrest in Thomasville, Georgia.

Demarsh was arrested by U.S. Marshals on a murder warrant just after two this afternoon as he pulled into the parking lot of the Skandia shutter company on Martin Luther King Street.

Marshals say he was dragged from his car and arrested. A spokesman says Demarsh's brother works at the company ... and he too was arrested on some charges out of Brooks County, Georgia.

According to the Lakeland Police web site, Demarsh is accused of killing his girlfriend and dumping her body in the woods in Polk County, Florida. Virginia Varnum was reported missing October 21st and a body believed to be hers was found in the woods near the couple's home on October 29th.

The Lakeland Police web site indicates officers responded to at least two domestic violence calls at the couple's home before Varnum disappeared.

WCTV has also included the U.S. Marshals Press Release which is attached above.
